The Inn at Dupont Circle South

July Travel Blog

I had a great visit to Washington DC last month and it had largely to do with my visit to The Inn at Dupont Circle South. Located at 1312 19th Street NW, Washington DC 20036, it’s a beautiful Victorian style Inn with modern touches, great food, and a great staff. The Inn is centrally located in the heart of DC and is about a block away from the Dupont Circle metro station.

While there, I learned that they have another location at 1620 T Street NW, Washington DC 20036 and two additional locations coming this fall. If they are as nice as this one then I know I’ll be trying out each and every one of them. The inn had a nice homey feeling and really comfortable feather beds that make it difficult to get out of in the mornings. Difficult, but not impossible, due to the mouth watering spread waiting downstairs for breakfast. I enjoyed the homemade bread that they make every morning along with the fresh organic fruits and meats that are a great healthy start to a day of sightseeing. Every evening they offered delicious desserts that we took to the solarium to savor in the ambiance as well as the sunset.

The Inn at Dupont Circle South was affordable and definitely a great change of pace from an impersonal chain hotel. I will definitely be back to try the Inn at Dupont Circle North the next time. Check out their site at: http://thedupontcollection.com
